Request a QuoteA PG County native who knows how events really run
Our founder was born and raised in Prince George's County and has worked as a travel agent, a project manager, and an event facilitator for nonprofit and community organizations. That mix matters. Travel planning teaches you to anticipate what goes wrong. Project management teaches you to hold a timeline. Facilitating community events teaches you what it feels like when a room finally comes together.
Chocolate City Events grew out of all three. We saw too many good events held back by late deliveries, worn equipment, or a vendor who stopped answering the phone. We built this company to be the opposite of that.
We love being part of the gathering
We enjoy attending and participating in events, and we love being part of curating experiences that build community, connection, and relationships. A graduation party, a festival, a company picnic, a wedding, a block full of neighbors who finally met each other. These are the moments people carry with them, and they deserve to run smoothly.
Quality Rentals. Reliable Service. Memorable Events.

Experiences For Your Community
For organizations running events all year rather than once. Each one is a repeatable format we can drop onto your calendar.
Food Truck Friday
We source and schedule the trucks, handle placement, and set seating and shade so people linger instead of grabbing and leaving.
Movie Night Under the Stars
Screen, projector, sound, seating, and a snack station. Indoor or outdoor, with a weather plan built in.
Game Night
Lawn games, card tables, and tournament boards, with someone there to run it.
Craft and Create Night
A hands on session with all materials supplied and staffed, so nobody has to volunteer.
Appreciation Day
For residents, staff, members, or volunteers. Food, giveaways, music, and a reason to show up.
Holiday Experience
Seasonal décor, a themed activity, photos with the right backdrop, struck the next morning.
Book a calendar, not a single event
Most organizations do not need one event. They need something on the calendar every month, and they do not have the time to start from scratch each time. We build a season or a full year of experiences, lock the dates, and run them.
- Quarterly or annual calendars
- One planning conversation, not twelve
- Dates held in advance
- Budget mapped across the year
- Seasonal rotation so it never repeats
- Better pricing than booking one at a time
One Partner Instead of Six Vendors
Companies, communities, and organizations all run into the same problem. The event is the easy part. Coordinating everyone is not.
One point of contact
You talk to us. We talk to the food truck, the DJ, the bartender, the photographer, and the décor team.
We source the vendors
Our network is already vetted. You are not collecting quotes from five strangers and hoping.
One invoice
Everything on a single invoice with every line itemized, instead of six vendors to process separately.
Built for your paperwork
Certificate of insurance naming your organization, and a W9, available on request before you commit.
Terms that fit your process
We know organizations do not pay the way individuals do. Invoicing terms for organizations are available on request.
Confirm your commercial terms
We run it, or you do
Full production, or we plan and coordinate while you fund the vendors directly. Whichever fits your budget structure.

360 Photo Booth
A platform guests stand on while a camera arm orbits them, producing the slow motion video everyone posts that night. It draws a crowd on its own, which makes it as much entertainment as it is a photo service.

What we need from you
A level surface, access to a standard power outlet within reach, and cover if the event is outdoors. We bring everything else.
Setup and strike
We arrive ahead of your start time to set up and test, and we break down after. Setup time is not counted against your rental hours.
Pair it with a backdrop
A booth against a blank wall photographs like a blank wall. Most clients add a flower wall, sequin panel, or custom printed backdrop.
Check your date
Booths book out first during graduation season and the holidays. Send your date and we will confirm availability.

Signs That Do a Job
Half of good signage is decoration. The other half is keeping guests from asking you where things are.
Welcome Signs
Acrylic, mirror, or printed, on an easel at the entrance with your names, date, or organization.
Custom Neon
A name, a phrase, or a logo in neon. Doubles as the focal point of your photo wall.
Table Numbers and Place Cards
Matched to your signage so the room reads as one set rather than five different fonts.
Menu and Bar Signs
What is being served, what is in it, and where to line up. Cuts down the questions your staff fields all night.
Directional Signage
Parking, entrance, restrooms, and where the event actually is. The least glamorous signs and the ones guests need most.
Logo and Step and Repeat
For sponsors, brands, and organizations who need their name in every photo that leaves the room.

Vendor Coordination
The part nobody budgets for and everybody underestimates. Most of the stress in an event is not the event. It is managing the people delivering it.
We source
From a network we have already vetted, so you are not collecting quotes from five strangers and guessing.
We confirm
Every vendor re confirmed before the date, with arrival windows, access details, and parking sorted in advance.
We manage the day
Vendors report to us. If a truck is late or a delivery is wrong, you find out after it is already fixed.
You get one invoice
Everything itemized on a single invoice instead of six vendors to chase and process separately.
Who we coordinate
- DJs and live entertainment
- Caterers and food trucks
- Licensed bartenders
- Photographers and videographers
- Décor and floral teams
- Security and event staffing
- Specialty rentals we do not carry
Décor support
Backdrops, table settings, centerpieces, balloon work, signage, and lighting, installed and struck so the room reads as one intentional set rather than five separate deliveries.
Honest about the split
Some services we provide directly. Others come through trusted partners, chosen from a network we have already worked alongside.
Custom Event Packages
Most clients do better bundling. Tell us the event and the budget range and we will build a package around it.
Backyard and family
Chairs, tables, linens, a tent, and setup. Add a moon bounce or photo booth for the kids and the photos.
Community and nonprofit
Festival canopy packages, vendor tables, seating, and day of coordination for a long outdoor day.
Milestone celebrations
Chiavari seating, styled tables, backdrops, centerpieces, and coordination for weddings and showers.

Organizations
Your event budget should stay in your city
Most event companies either do everything in house or quietly mark up whoever they found online. We do neither. When your event needs a caterer, a DJ, a florist, or a bartender, we bring in a business from this region, we tell you who they are, and we manage the relationship so you never have to.
Our name is Chocolate City. Keeping work in the hands of DMV businesses is not a marketing position for us, it is the reason the company exists.
What This Means For Your Event
You know who is coming
Every partner on your event is named in your quote. No mystery subcontractors showing up in your parking lot.
One relationship
You deal with us. We deal with them. One contract, one invoice, one phone number when something changes.
Local spend you can report
If your organization tracks local or small business spend, we can itemize exactly where your money went and who received it.
Vetted, not googled
Everyone in the network has worked an event with us. We do not refer anyone we have not stood next to on a job.
Join the Network
If you run a business that serves events in the DMV, we want to know you. No fee to join and no exclusivity.
How it works
- We meet and talk through what you do
- You go on the list for the events that fit
- We bring you the client, the brief, and the schedule
- You do your work, we handle the rest
- You get paid on our terms, not the client's
What we handle
- Client communication and expectations
- Quotes, invoicing, and collections
- Load in times, access, and parking
- Timeline and run of show
- The difficult conversations
What we ask
- Show up when you said you would
- Carry your own insurance
- Communicate early when something changes
- Treat our client like your client
- Tell us honestly when a job is not for you
The Network
For venues
If you run a venue, hall, rooftop, or outdoor space, we can sit on your preferred vendor list and handle the rentals, setup, and coordination your clients ask you about. That is one less thing your staff fields and one more reason a booking closes.
For local businesses
Hosting a grand opening, an anniversary, a customer appreciation day, or a block event? We handle it, and where it makes sense we bring in other local businesses to be part of it. Neighborhood businesses showing up for each other is good for everybody's door.

- The customer is responsible for the equipment from delivery until pickup. Damage, loss, or excessive cleaning will be billed to the customer.
